About the Venue:
This unique property includes a nature preserve, a family homestead, and a working farm across 118 acres of protected land. Given the variety of landscapes, there are multiple ways to use this venue for a wedding. Several flat lawns can be tented, and there are two ponds that can be incorporated into the ceremony and cocktail hour. In addition, a magical tree amphitheater emerges from just off one of the trails not far from the parking lot, giving you a perfect spot for a ceremony surrounded by pristine nature. Meanwhile, numerous walking trails cut through meadows covered in wild flowers, perfect for photos. Ruins from a barn that burnt down in 1965 add to the rustic charm of this property. A working farm, organic produce and flowers for events are grown right there on site.
Why we love it:
As you drive up the hill onto the property, you instantly feel more relaxed, away from the city and surrounded by nature. You can feel the love that permeates from this special space, a cherished family home enjoyed by multiple generations. By having your wedding here, you are not only supporting a local produce and flower farm, but also an expansive nature preserve with miles of picturesque trails open to the public. As part of its progressive mandate, the property embraces, and achieves,a net zero carbon footprint, including several renewable energy sources and an extensive composting program. Thanks to this vision and engagement, the property has become an important member in the local community.
